Jazzkidz

Our full Website is under construction

Until it’s ready here is some information of what we are all about.

Reputed to be the youngest of its kind in the world, this group of very talented young jazz musicians, ages 6 to eighteen, greatly entertain the audience each time they perform and sing renowned tunes such as Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy, I Feel Good, Route 66, Big Spender, You’ve Got A Friend In Me, etc… Come listen to the big sound of these young musicians and vocalists witness the beginnings of future international stars. With over 20 years of experience in teaching music, the Music Director, Jana Hancinsky-Jast started the JazzKidz band in 2008 as a non-profit association. These students have worked very hard and committed many hours to educating themselves and becoming musically literate at a very young age. They are a unique group of entertainers that have been taken far beyond anything ever produced in any educational organization. Mrs. Hancinsky-Jast says that it is an honour to be invited to perform at the Los Angeles and Montreal Jazz Festivals since very few groups are selected amongst hundreds of applications coming mainly from high schools and colleges. The JazzKidz is open to students of any age who would like to learn how to perform and musically entertain an audience.

Please refer to the “contact us” section at the bottom of this website for the appropriate reference. In addition to education and entertainment, one of the band’s main goals is to give back to the community through performances for the elderly and children to help raise funds and awareness for worthy causes such as those associated with hospitals and charities. The band has prepared a promotional DVD and is presently searching for corporate sponsors to support this worthy endeavor. This website is presently under construction and will feature basic information as well as many pictures in the weeks and months to come.
